BENEFITS FOR BSW CANDIDATES
- Paid monthly stipend during your final semester
Successful candidates who commit to employment with New Horizons may be paid $150 per month during their final semester of college. While actual employment start date may be flexible, successful candidates will generally be expected to begin on the first business day of the month following graduation. The monthly stipend will be paid only through the month of graduation.
- Up to $150 Monthly Student Loan Payment
In addition, New Horizons will provide assistance with student loan forgiveness for those who qualify.
- All Licensure and Association Fees Paid
- Housing Assistance or Relocation Expenses
If the position accepted is at the Ranch RTC location, New Horizons will either provide a stipend to assist with housing or will assist with relocation if moving is required. None of the roles with New Horizons require or provide live-in or sleepover shifts. Staff work shifts, not house parent duties.
- 3 Meals Per Day While On Duty
Both of our Residential Treatment Centers (The Ranch and Audrey Grace House) provide meals not only to the kids in residence but to the staff as well.
On days that you are working (5 days on average per week) you will be provided your meals at no charge. None of the roles with New Horizons require or provide live-in or sleepover shifts. Staff work shifts, not house parent duties.
- Training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
TBRI is an internationally recognized, evidence-based model developed out of Texas Christian University to help parents and professionals assist kids who have experienced trauma.
New Horizons entire agency is trained in TBRI and has several certified trainers on staff, as the vast majority of the children and youth with whom we work have experienced extreme childhood trauma.
New Horizons will not only provide you with TBRI training at no cost but will also provide ongoing training in New Horizons Philosophy & Guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be a candidate for a Bachelor’s in Social Work in your final year
- Candidates will be interviewed, screened, and selected during their final year of candidacy based on availability and need.
- Requires a commitment of 2 years of employment with New Horizons
