Our Ranch kids had a very successful weekend at the Mills County Stock Show in January. They ended up with Reserve Grand Champion with a hot sauce recipe, 1st place with a crochet blanket and 1st place on two art projects. We also had multiple 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and beyond for food projects, several Grand Champs in rabbits, 3rd & 4th with the goats, and 2 amazing girls that participated in Showmanship.
We are so proud of all the kids, and a special thank you to all our supporters that bought projects at the auction. These are some of the best memories for our kids at New Horizons Ranch.
New Horizons has been working toward accreditation from the Council on Accreditation. Accreditation provides a framework to manage resources, offer best practices, and strive for continuous improvement at New Horizons. We will have a nationally-recognized standard for delivering quality services and providing best practices for the kids and families we serve. We have several steering committees who review and update our policies and procedures to prepare for accreditation.
We’ve had several adoptions in the past couple of months at New Horizons and we are always thrilled to see these kids and families together forever!
